Do you have any particular reason for thinking that the only people who will buy it are techies? I have yet to hear a single techie friend of mine say they'll buy one. I know that I won't be, because as big an Apple fan as I am, the iPad isn't a good replacement for my general-computing needs and I am still better served by a laptop.

On the other hand, elderly relatives of mine are planning on buying iPads...
