I really like this piece. I like the implication of exactly how much Mrs. Hawking has given up without outright explicitely stating it. In a lot of ways, that amount of dedication and drive and unflinching focus requires intense sacrifice and, in a lot of ways, giving up some of one's humanity. I think what Mary brings to the tables is, in a lot of ways, that bright spark of Humanity. Exploring her trying to balance that with what Mrs. Hawking would expect of her is really cool.
