Bleh, that Lady Gaga Bad Romance song is stuck in my head, waaaaah... get it out. As Frances described it, it has lots of sounds that are "fascinating and satisfying" in it but I'm not sure I like the song as a whole entity. And the video is MADNESS and has, like, nothing to do with the song and I can't decided if I find it cool and interesting or weird-for-the-sake-of-weird off-putting or if I think La Gaga herself is a gorgeous sexy supermodel or a creepy crazy twisted freak. Gaaaah, get Bad Romance out of my heeeeeeead....

Ugh, tell me about it...last summer when I was doing the short play festival, the play right before mine had Lady Gaga's Poker Face as its outro music. As a result the song's still stuck in my head every now and then despite still having NO IDEA what the words are, and worse yet I now totally associate her voice with my "omg omg about to go on stage" butterflies.

You know how "the future" is often depicted in 80's just-beginning-to-be-transhumanist sci-fi: the bright colors and colored hair and, my god, all the latex. Lady Gaga's stuff strongly reminds me of that.

I do not understand why there are any "or"s in this statement. Personally, I think she is all of these things, and she is amazing. Also, she is just so... dedicated to this persona she has created for herself. Her music is so out-there and often not about anything at all that I can tell, and yet is so enjoyable, and the same go for her videos. Well, Paparazzi had a story, that only really sort of went with the song. And while Bad Romance doesn't seem to have video-song relation, the video still has a theme and a message.

I think she's a very talented dancer, vocalist, and songwriter. As a performer, I think she really knows how to work a crowd and attract an audience, and yet I don't think she'll ever stoop to flashing her bits n pieces when she gets out of limos. Though with her crazy outfits, I think it would be silly to imagine she'll never have some sort of accidental wardrobe malfunction.

And I like her ridiculous craziness. And what I've read of her interviews lead me to believe she's not an idiot, and she has personal ideologies I can get behind.

I mean, I don't think her music is going to change the world or anything, but she certainly is a ton of fun.
