The Esmeralda Series

So as you may remember, I did a photoshoot involving [livejournal.com profile] polaris_xx as my lovely model and [livejournal.com profile] in_water_writ as brilliant costumer and stylist. Though I don't currently have access to the software I want to really edit these photos, it's about time I posted them in at least rough form so you could take a look at them.

Gigi is playing Esmeralda, a society lady with a secret. Can you see what it is?

So maybe it's not that secret. ;-)

How do we know if we got it right?

I will tell you! Esmeralda is a poisoner. She is preparing it in her dressing room, and has slipped it into the tea later on. :-) And as you can tell from the knife in her garter belt, she's prepared for any possible outcome of her wicked plan.

I'm so glad to see you're having fun with photos! =) Once the bug bites you, man...

FWIW, the program I use to edit photos is gimp, which is powerful, versatile, and free. I'm really happy with it, and there's a world of tutorials out there for any questions you might have.

Seriously. I've been using it for years and there are still features I don't even know about.

++ on the GIMP suggestion. It's not CS, but it's really good. There are some great tutorials on some very cool advanced effects you can manage with it, too.

I actually prefer GIMP to photoshop (I switched after a year or two), but I think it's more of the UI being more intuitive to me in GIMP than anything else.

And thanks for the software rec, I'll try it!
