This past weekend I visited Jared in Chicago, and he showed me an absolutely lovely time. Of course, just getting to see him would have made it lovely even if he hadn't taken me all over the city, including the aquarium, the art museum, several excellent restaurants, Chinese acrobats, and fireworks on the lake. :-) I couldn't have been happier, and it goes without saying that I'm crazy about him.

Tomorrow I am going to see a Goo Goo Dolls concert. They're my favorite band in the world, and I'm so excited. I had a hard time finding people to go with me, but my best friend Ally and her boyfriend Dan took pity on me and agreed to keep me company. The ad used practically all my favorite songs, so I'm hoping that's what they'll actually be playing. It'll be fun, though I know there are people I'll be wishing were there with me. You know who you are. :-D

By the way! Guess what I discovered on the GURPS site. Does anyone know the Bunnies and Burrows tabletop RPG? It was discontinued for a long time, but they've rereleased it, and I just bought a copy. It's based off Watership Down, quite possibly my favorite book, and it's really interesting. Maybe I'll run a game of it sometime...

Hey! Glad to hear you and the boy had a great time.

I do wonder about one thing, though . . .

. . . if this is the weekend you two were able to see one another, why wasn't he able to attend bleemoo's birthday party? I thought I'd been told he wasn't coming because it conflicted with the only weekend he could see you.

That was the only weekend he could come see me in my hometown. And we at that time we just hadn't seen each other in so long.
