breakinglight11I haven’t shot a Little Monsters video in a while now. I was so busy this summer planning for the Hawking filming at the end of June and the beginning of July, then I was cleaning up and recovering after it. But I really do enjoy making the silly little stop-motion films, giving myself a cool little creative project that I can do on my own time, without having to wrangle a hundred people’s schedules, and justify my owning all my dumb little dolls. I should do one more before school starts again at the end of the month.
I admit, I love those ASMR videos where a nice lady pretends to give you a facial. They are ridiculous but I find them very soothing.
Day #3 - “A S Scream R”

CUPID ASTERIA, a bone elemental girl

(A Youtube video switches on where CUPID ASTERIA speaks to the screen.)
CUPID: Welcome back to my channel, plebians, for another chance to worship at Cupid’s altar. For today’s ASMR experience, I shall be applying your makeup, so you can bask in the fantasy that I would ever pay attention to you.
(She holds up a bowl full of snotty stuff.)
CUPID: First I will prepare your skin with a snail mucus primer, to help the products stick to your face.
(She pretends to rub the mucus into the screen. GOOSH GOOSH GOOSH. She holds up a little pot of white cream and a sponge.)
CUPID: Now I shall apply foundation. It’s lead-based, so as to hide your discoloration beneath a more attractive corpse like pallor.
(She dips the sponge and pats it on the screen. PAT PAT PAT. Then she holds up a green eyeshadow and a yellow.)
CUPID: Which eyeshadow would you prefer? Gang-green or jaune-dice? I’m going to use this one, because I don’t care what you want.
(She taps the powder on with a brush. TAP TAP TAP. She holds up a lipstick.)
CUPID: Next I will apply your lipstick. Press your lips together for me? Good, now they should be sealed shut.
(She draws it along the screen. SLURP SLURP.)
CUPID: Do you like your new look? Well, that’s because you have no taste.
(She holds up a lotion bottle.)
CUPID: I will finish off this experience with a soothing hand massage, so that you can imagine I would ever permit you to touch me.
(FRANKIE’s hand appears at the bottom of the screen. CUPID takes the hand to massage it.)
CUPID: This oil was made from the subcutaneous fat of a murdered child. Guaranteed to maintain the appearance of youth.
(CUPID pulls off the hand with a POP.)
CUPID: Hmm. You might want to have that looked at.
(She throws the hand off-camera, landing with a SQUISH.)
CUPID: This concludes today’s ASMR experience. Make sure to subscribe for more chances to look at me and hear the things I say. Remember, I’m not really your friend. Goodnight.
(The screen goes black.)
