I just listened to one of the CS Professors talk to his little kid on the phone in the department office. It made me smile. I remember being that kid, excited that I get to talk to my dad while he's at work 'cause I normally never get to, going on and on about this thing I'm doing or that thing I'm thinking about or this or that or whatever. Heh. I still do that sometimes. My dad is still polite enough to indulge me and listen.

I have to read Oscar Wide's "An Ideal Husband" for my theatrical lit class, and I love this man's marginal descriptions of his characters. They are entirely too specific for any practical staging use, and they include loving detailing of the style and color of women's gowns and comments such as "Vandyck would have liked to have painted his head" and "ˆShe looks rather like an orchid, and makes great demands on one’s curiosity." When reading these, I don't know how anyone could have ever imagined this man was straight.
