Quick update

I have emerged from my pile of work and commitments to report on my current status (for those of you who were worried I had died):

- my show DREAM , which I'm in with Plesser, Nick, and thefarowl, opened well to the complete filling of the tiny house. If you care to come to our other performances, they are at 8PM on 8/30, 8/31, 9/6, 9/7, 9/8, and at 4PM on 9/8. Click the link here for ticket sales.

- I have gotten behind on my 31 Plays in 31 Days project because of work, rehearsal, and homework demands, but I do intend to finish one way or another.

- My current big priority is finishing my script for my graphic novel project. Which still needs a name.

- I got my copy of Gertie's New Book for Better Sewing in the mail, the new text by the amazing Gertie of Gertie's New Blog for Better Sewing. and though I have not had much time to look with it, but at first glance it looks fabulous. I can't wait to really dig into it.

- I still have a lot of homework, though upcoming due dates are spaced such that I don't need to spend every spare moment working

And that's all I got at the moment.

31 Plays in 31 Days: #28 - "Better Design"

This piece follows my previous Project Runway-inspired piece, "Slimming." I kind of like this character of Freddy Moreau, a talented but emotionally fragile young man based on my current favorite PR designer Christopher Palu (who won last night with an elegant design, woohoo!) I also like dealing with body image issues inherent in the fashion industry, so it's a cool topic to get into. I think I could write something interesting about Freddy learning that.
