I know for me when I had a drop because of sickness on Sunday morning it was filled within 10 minutes. So I don't know if it was P-H or not, but as a GM I had issue... issue was no more and GM was happy and game was happy. If you would like I could laude the great and mighty P-H system for the success?
I did like that there was a wide variety of games in the time slots and that this variety included big and small games. One of the things that kinda sucked at intercon was that the Sat afternoon time slot had all BIG games that everyone wanted to play and was a little unbalanced, but having a mix of big and small games in the same time slots and some of the big ticket games were spread out so that it wasn't a "crap either or" issue.
1 suggestion would be to fix the sign ups to more of an intercon style. You can sign up for 1 game on the first night of sign ups, 2 games the next week and 3rd week open sign ups. I know I got into everything I wanted (which was amazing) but some people who couldn't get on that night were sad :(.
Also, I would give the people who are doing advert next year the info for the Western Ma larpers. They have just started to come to Intercon in the last 2 years and are very interested in Free Larps. I hyped Festival to them at intercon and they were very interested but games were already full and it was last minute planning. They also have another whole new listing of new games! I played in Tam Lin at Intercon K and it was great fun! If you want to bring growth they have players and games that could be brought in.
