Heh. Like many crafts, a big part of it is learning how to manage the hiccups in the road. Like tasting a dish and adjusting the spices, or re-covering a chair seat, or hiding/incorporating a bad brushstroke in a painting. Kudos on not only fixing the problem, but understanding the problem thoroughly enough to come up with a way to fix it.
