Opening Night

Tonight is the opening night of my show. After all the stress, all the hard work, now it's finally going to be a reality. The feeling of having an idea, and then seeing it be something real before your eyes, is like nothing else. It's hard to believe, almost, but it's real. It's up on the stage and it's real and I made it and damn it, it's really not half bad.
Thanks to the efforts of Bernie, Mac, Sheena, Jared, and the rest of the lovely cast and crew, my production of Hamlet actually looks like it'll be pretty good. The fact that the cast did the tech run in their underwear last night I choose to interpret as a good omen. Not quite sure how that happened, but it certainly loosened everybody up.
I have been banished to the audience. Okay, I kinda wanted to be, but at the same time, I kinda want to be on the headset, barking instructions. I need to relax and leave it to the cast and crew now, though, who have been wonderful. It's in their hands now, and God's. I let it go now.
I give you Hamlet. Enjoy.
