Writing contest

Today I was reminded by e-mail of a writing contest I entered a few months ago. Tonight they'll send me a subject to write about, and I'll have a week to write a short story to send in to be judged. I hope the subject appeals to me. I won the only other writing contest I ever entered. I was quite proud, actually, I was thirteen and every other entrant was an adult.

It's not like I don't have enough work to do, but I've been told going out for these things might be lucky and get you somewhere as a writer. Who knows, and here's hoping.
