(no subject)

I am discovering just how much I enjoy cooking dinner with a group of people. My family has made a point of all making dinner together since I've been home, and it's been really fun and nice, not to mention tasty. Tonight we made lentil soup, garlic bread, and mixed green salads. Onward I go in my pursuit of cooking capability. When I'm in Waltham again this summer, I'd like to have lots of social gatherings at our place include making and eating dinner together. It's both pleasant and satisfying, I find. :-) I've got ice cream waiting for me for dessert when I digest a little.

"Woodsmen" progress

So close to finishing "Woodsmen." It's coming along so well, I'm quite pleased. I'm evening finding myself able to stat it with minimal difficulty. I like this system, it's fairly straightforward and geared more toward roleplaying than toward rules-- plus, I think it'll be easy to make stuff up if I find myself at a loss. Unfortunately, I've yet to figure out where, if anywhere, there are directions for statting NPCs, and building an important NPC is one of the only tasks that really remains. I'm beginning to think I need a book I don't have. I don't particularly want to buy it, as I don't really need it beyond this solving this one problem, as least for the meantime. Perhaps I'll make an extended trip to Barnes and Noble this week, park myself with the book, and do it right there in the store. It'd save me thirty bucks.
