Has anyone ever seen the Pinky and the Brain sketch called "Yes, Always"? Oh, it is so very, very brilliant. You see, there exists a recording of Orson Welles doing a voice over for an ad or series of ads, and he becomes so pissy with the lousy script and the lousy direction that he starts ranting and complaining in the most hilarious way. Brain's voice is in large part an imitation of Welles, and it sort of expanded to include aspects of his character. This Pinky and the Brain sketch is almost a word-for-word parody of the Welles recording, the only real changes being the vulgarities to more child-friendly versions. I love that, if they manage to find him some jury that will tell him how in the hell to emphasize the word "in" at the beginning of a sentence, he will "go down on you" is changed in Brain's version to "I'll make cheese for you." Heh. Look it up on YouTube sometime.

Oh, Orson. You kind of terrify me, and I am also a little in love with you. Hearing how difficult you were to work with and how you'd usually end up taking over every aspect of production yourself makes me smile to think how much you and I have in common.
