For all those of you who have had to listen to me bitch about it, you may rest easy now-- since this Christmas, I now have a brown belt to match my brown shoes. And my brown bag, too!

Oh, God. That sort of attitude creeps me the hell out. Don't learn how to love yourself for who you are or get past meaningless external value markers or age gracefully! Just get plastic surgery! People who turn to that to feel better about themselves should be doing some work on the inside rather than the outside. It just encourages people to be shallow and feel like the body isn't acceptable to a degree that is terrifying to me.

There's also a nasty part of me that's like, wow, congratulations on cheating, on faking it. You're not attractive or sexy. You just have a good doctor.

Sometimes I wonder if I'd feel differently if I didn't like how I looked as much as I do. But still, i'm kind of disgusted by the attitude of spending the time and the money and the risk and all the mental bullshit on procedures that basically deem the natural form unacceptable.
