I've always wished I were more of a poet. I write so much, and I'm pretty good when it comes to prose, but I'm just no good at poetry. I wish I were, because I like it and enjoy writing it. I wrote two tonight, neither of which are terribly impressive. One I kind of like, but it's just a haiku, and to be honest I've always felt those barely count as poems because there's nothing to them. The other one rhymes and has a nice moment or two, but it's still not very good. And both of them are extremely trite. I just never know what to write when I'm trying to write a poem.
