All Eyes on Me

I know it's hard to open up. I know its even harder to need anything from anyone. I applaud the courage in writing this, and now we can support you in it. I've lost several members of my family to cancer, and my mother has chronic pain from complications after removal of a tumor on her spinal column discovered when I was in high school. On one side of my family breast cancer runs hard. On the other, colon cancer. It is never pretty, it is always scary, and it affects those around the afflicted almost as much as the hapless victim themselves. Thank the miracle of modern science that we live in a time and age where wee can -do- something about it instead of watching helplessly as another life is claimed as was the case only a few short decades ago.
