So it looks like my layoff, initially supposed to occur after the closing of the office in which I work sometime around the end of the spring, is being moved up to the end of next week. They told me last Thursday, and didn't even give me two weeks' notice. I know they don't need me anymore and don't have enough work for me to do, but they seemed to like me, I thought they wouldn't make my cutoff quite so abrupt.

*Sigh* I hardly loved that job. But it paid enough to get by, it was close to drive to, and it wasn't so demanding as to interfere with getting my schoolwork done. Pretty good for what I needed, at least until I graduate at the end of May. I've been applying around a little, but nothing's come of it so far. So I'm a little worried to not have anything lined up, as I'm pretty paycheck to paycheck these days. I mean, it's not the end of the world, I'm blessed to have parents who will help me if I really need it. I hate to stress them further, but I'm in a much more fortunate situation than many others would be in the same circumstance. And hey, if I need to go back home suddenly to be there for my mom, I won't have to worry about that obligation. Living at home would certainly lower my expenses (except my rent, which I would never stiff my roommates on.)

I can handle this. I will somehow, though I'm not sure how right now. I just really didn't want to deal with this too with everything else going on.
