The power of cheese!

I love reading about food. I'm in the process of learning how to cook, and I love reading about good things people have made, eaten, or both. Bizarrely, one thing I particularly enjoy reading about is cheese. Why is this bizarre? I... don't really eat cheese. There are only a few varieties I really like, I don't eat them often anyway because of my workout regime, and I'm somewhat lactose intolerant, so my tummy is not always happy to have them. But for some reason I always stop and read articles and things about cheese. I've recently been reading a blog called The Grub Report whose writer works in a cheese shop, and the entries are really interesting. I have this desire to go into a quaint little cheese shop, buy small amounts of lots of different kinds of interesting special cheeses, and make an appetizer plate for Jared, or for any other friend who likes cheese. The more I learn to cook, the more I want to cook for people. :-)
