As you may remember, my play The Triumph of Law was lucky enough to receive a staged reading on a public access TV show called PlayCafe. It's where a ten-minute play is read aloud by actors on-camera, after which the host, the writer, and the actors all discuss it on the air. It was a great experience with some interesting people and I'm glad I did it. You can see the episode if you go to the website here.

Patti Cassidy, the esteemed producer, has moved the project to the Boston area. She's asked me to help her cast the readings with local actors, and I was happy to accept. So I will now be seeking out the talented people I know to go on this show. We're aiming to have one show every second Monday of every month. Please let me know if you would like to be part of the pool of actors I will be considering for these readings! The first one should be going up this September, so I'll be asking people soon.

Are you looking for long-term commitments, or more of a rotating cast?

I don't have much traditional theater experience, but you've seen me LARP. I'm interested, but will not be at all offended if you're looking for people with more traditional experience than me.

Are they looking for experienced people, or is this the kind of thing some people do on a lark?

The preference is for people with acting experience, they're looking for people who can meaningfully interpret a script and talk about it from a knowledgeable point of view. Hope that's helpful!

I can do it! There's one Monday I'll be away for, but the rest of the time I shall be around.

I don't get back to the Boston area until I come back to Brandeis at the end of August, but if you're looking for it to start in September anyway, I am definitely, definitely down for this. :D

I would be interested, but, similarly to Josh, have not done any acting since leaving high school.

I'd be interested in doing this, modulo availability. Let me know if you'd like me to pass this on to the main T@F list.

Hi, there! in case not clear from message exchange we had a while ago, I'd be up for this, too, assuming available yadda yadda. Also congrats on finishing the MFA!
