31 Plays in 31 Days starting soon

In two days it will be August, and that will be the start of this year's 31 Plays in 31 Days, where you write one play of at least a page long for every day of the month of August. I got so much good out of doing it last year that I'm excited to do it again.

The purpose I think I will keep in mind this time around is working on the various ideas I have in mind but have never quite gotten to putting down on paper. The best thing about this exercise is that it makes me work, so I want to take advantage of that. Instead of only aiming to write ten minute plays, I will also write scenes that could be part of larger works. I think today and tomorrow I will get my head organized about what ideas to explore. At the very least I can get a rough start on them, which is better than nothing.
