Watch City Festival cancelled
Apr. 20th, 2014 04:20 pmWell, it seems that the Watch City Festival, formerly known as the International Steampunk City, just got cancelled entirely for this year. I mentioned that I was very excited by the possibility of getting Mrs. Hawking space to be performed there, which would be great for both acquiring a venue and getting publicity from the rest of the event. Now that's no longer possible.
I'm really down about it. It seemed like such a perfect opportunity. I really hoped this might be the way to get it finally out there to be performed. Now I'm back to square one with no ideas.
Damn. I'm incredibly disappointed.

Date: 2014-04-21 02:52 pm (UTC)Attendees of the Watch City Festival. In prior days I made a posting as festival director stating, incorrectly, that the festival would be moved to Spring 2015. This was premature, since the Downtown Waltham Partnership may yet make changes beyond my tenure as director, in order to host a 2014 festival. I apologize for sowing confusion. For everyone, this should be exciting news, since there may be a possibility for a festival in 2014.
Please hang on for updates from the Downtown Waltham Partnership, and please once again accept my personal apologies for any confusion caused by the prior posting to this site.
With Gratitude,
Alex Green
