Little Monsters #10 - “Head Games”

This past week I’ve been shooting another Little Monsters short film, just because I enjoy making them. I’ve started the editing, but I’ve got to get the voices recorded so I can make sure the timing is right.

As I’ve worked on it, I’ve had a couple of other ideas, which of course I scribbled down. This one builds upon the idea first introduced in “Get In, Loser”, that Deuce, being a gorgon and a fairly obnoxious dude, could get his head cut off and Hijinks Could Ensue. And hey! This means the balance of cannibalism to non-cannibalism punchlines in this series has shifted to almost even!



Episode #10 - “Head Games”

ABBEY BOMINABLE, a yeti girl, late teens
CLEO DE NILE, a mummy girl, late teens
DEUCE GORGON, a gorgon boy, currently a decapitated head, late teens

(ABBEY reads in the student lounge when CLEO enters, carrying DEUCE’s decapitated head. CLEO sets the head down near ABBEY.)

CLEO: Now, you behave yourself. I don’t want to see a statue garden when I get back.

(She exits. DEUCE turns to ABBEY.)

DEUCE: Hey, yeti girl. I always liked ‘em taller than me. How about you let me climb that Mount Everest?

ABBEY: You’re just a head. How are you even talking? You don’t have lungs.

DEUCE: I got it where it counts, frosty baby.

(ABBEY returns to her book.)

ABBEY: You’re an abomination against God.

DEUCE: (Grumbling) So is the Frankenstein kid. They’re made of corpses, and nobody gives them shit.
