breakinglight11: (CT photoshoot 1)
I remember last year I had a hard time really deciding on New Years resolutions. It was due to an uncertainty about where to focus my energy and push in my life. I think I have a better idea of what I'm working towards right now, so I found these came a little more easily.

They did most turn out to be continuing pushing on the things I want. Most of my goals are not the sort of things that can be accomplished in the short term, so I guess that makes sense.

1. Continue developing Mrs. Hawking and pushing that property to the next step. Not a hundred percent sure what this means right now, but I want to figure it out.

2. Complete two new major writing projects. Not sure what they're going to be, but God knows I've got enough possibilities in the queue, such as Mrs. Hawking part 4 and the next Adonis.

3. Keep pitching my scripts. I've made a little bit of headway there, and I think if I don't give up, eventually something's going to work.

4. Maintain my current level of being fit and toned, and improve it if I can. Yeah, I know I'll never really be satisfied-- I basically have abs right now and I'm still not ready to declare victory --but it does make me happy that I look this good.

5. Make another step in professional improvement. I had some real career development this past year and I'd like to see that continue.

6. Always stand with my shoulders back. Yeah, this is a little out of left field, but my posture has gotten creepingly worse over the last year, and I'd really like to fix that before I give myself back problems.

7. Do what I can to address my focus issues. I'm really fed up with this problem, specifically in how addicted I am to my smartphone and how I can't read books anymore. Not sure what I can do, but I'd like to give it a try.

And my three perennials:

8. Maintain my important relationships. Love my father, my brother, and Bernie the way they deserve. Keep up with my friends and make them feel valued and cared for. Same as always.

9. Keep working on being a kinder person, keeping my temper, and being less judgmental. Always until the day I die.

10. Keep on learning to be hopeful. Always a struggle for me, but so necessary.
