Mmm... pie...

Today I baked a pie, a delicious cinnamony apple pie with a golden-brown crust and a perfect yummy center of just the right consistency, and I am eating a piece as I type this. I was pleased with how well it came out; I haven't made one since... gosh, maybe last summer. So I'm glad my skills haven't gotten too rusty. Next year when I have access to a kitchen I think I'll make pie for people. Hope you guys like it; that and pesto are the only things I can cook.

Years ago, I put an entry in a blog that read "Mm, pie. Who needs friend when you have pie?" I got more response to it than anything I've ever written, with people coming up to tell me in real life how hard it made them laugh. So, I reiterate.
