For the last couple of days, I have been a mediocre-poetry-writing machine. Since I've been home, I have written, let's see... one fixed rhyme, three haikus, and a sestina. Yes, a sestina. Do not ask me why, but I felt myself possessed with an urge to write a sestina. I had to look up exactly what a sestina was-- it's weird and kind of byzantine --but once I knew the form I wrote one, and I actually kind of like it. The rest are pretty average, but I like the sestina.
Even though not much of it's good, I'm glad I'm writing so much. Because every word you write makes you a better writer. So maybe if I keep it up with the poetry I'll eventually improve at it.

My first thought was "Oh my. That's not quite what I thought Phoebe's spirituality was."
