I was struck this morning with a desire to play checkers using two colors of specialty Oreoes-- let's say, the Valentine's ones with the red cream and the spring ones with the yellow-- where the players get to eat the pieces they take. :-) Put that down for my post-Easter sugar consumption plans.

I once got to play a game of chess with a board and pieces all made out of white and dark chocolate. Even better, although my opponent and I called out the moves, the moves were enacted by living fencers, who would then duel whenever there was a capture. Winners got to eat losers pieces.

That sounds fantastic! I like chess better than checkers anyway. Though I love Oreos, and I'm not sure how well they'd work for chess...

Well, you could do it with Pepperidge Farm's Chessmen cookies, or you could gest some sort of stencils or cutters that would let you put the design on/in oreo frostings.... or even whip up some thin frosting and paint it on.
