Free evening and Festival costuming

Funny how peaceful I feel with the knowledge ahead of me that I'm not going to Screenwriting this evening.

I now have a free evening, without even any real schoolwork to worry about. I shall now be able to help Jared with some stuff he needs, and maybe I'll go around checking out places where I could work this summer. I'll be staying in Waltham this summer for my internship, but it's only part time and while $10 an hour is pretty good, I don't get nearly enough hours at it for it to be my only job. I hope that asking about these things early is will help me find a good situation more easily.

I also need to get cracking on costuming for Festival. I got my Paradox Rides character last night, Eleanor Rice-- still a little unsure about her, but I'm determined to take the position that an actor can make any role, so whatever she turns out to be like I'm going to make the most of her. For her, costuming should be easy-- black button-up sweater and dress pants, hair probably worn up with some understated earrings. For my Miskatonic character, I'm not sure-- I'm thinking lots of khaki and understated colors, but I'm not sure I own anything that exactly fits what I'm looking for. A thrifting trip may be in order. Maybe I'll have my mom send up my fedora. As for Marlowe 2020, I still eagerly await my character sheet, but my costuming hint says formal and black. The character is neutral but I'm fairly certain I'm going to play him as a man-- first time cross-cast in a larp --so I'm probably going to need to thrift for some black men's dress clothes. Some tiny men's black dress clothes, if they've got any hope of fitting me. Should probably dig through my stuff first, just to see what my currently owned options are.

By the way, if anyone who's playing Macafferty in Miskatonic Archeaological Expedition happens to read this-- I have a pair of cat ears I'd be happy to lend for the game. Pass the message on if you happen to know who this is.
