I got my Marlowe 2020 sheet, and that's the last sheet I need for Festival. I think Pat Hamada may very possibly be the most fun character I'll get to play all weekend. Apparently this is the character Toby played in his run, so thanks, sir, for casting me. Oh, the plans I have... :-D

Hung out with Bernie last night. I really enjoy his company, and it always surprises me how long we can talk. He's a good friend.

BSCF tonight. Maybe I'll bring my notebook and work on some of my larp ideas.

*heh* Lise and I had the 'which game are you most looking forward to' discussion this morning.

Lise has no big 'most anticipated' game/role, though on the other hand, she has no 'meh' role either. (I can't wait till Paradox Rides is done so I can rant to you about how problematic the casting was, particularly on the female side... and possibly beg forgiveness.)

For me, it's all about SNAF University. Ah typecasting. Particularly, when it's fun and completely psychotic typecasting. (Not that I don't look forward to the other roles, but... they just can't compare.)

I will gladly listen to your rant, and no worries about the forgiveness part-- I'm trying to become the kind of larper who can make the character no matter what it is, so this will be an interesting challenge.

I played Kerry Hamada in my run of Marlowe, it was quite Shakespearean.

You know, when I bought my Japanese dictionary to help with anime fandom things, I never thought it would be useful in my love of cyberpunk. Well, except for making me wonder why the heck the pronunciation of Gibson's Idoru (and also the actual Japanese phenomenon) is eye-doe-roo and not ee-dolr. If you told me my Japanese dictionary would ever have any connection to Shakespeare, I would have definitely laughed.

Now I get to wonder... do I call you Pat-kun and Kerry-kun, or do I go with Kerry-chan because I think too many k's sound weird? Hmmmm. Damn, and I'm going to have to memorize all the correct uses of honorifics. The REALLY ironic thing is that I can speak Italian IRL.

This (http://www.flame.org/~calger/animedict.html) is where I looked it up. Also Wikipedia has a few things if you look hard enough.
