My red mark

As long as I can remember, I've had a little mark on my breast. It's about the size of the head of a pin, it's ever so slightly raised, has a very subtle sunburst shape, and is not particularly remarkable in any way except for the fact that it is lipstick red and been there, unchanged, forever.

What the heck is it? A birthmark? I've never seen one so completely red before. A wound, the scar of a broken vessel? It's not painful, it's always been there, and that color. I've never seen one on anybody else.

Anyone have any idea what it is?

Please have a trained professional look at it, just to be sure that everything is fine. While I'm sure it's nothing serious, and that you could get many untrained volunteers eager to check it out, all of us want you active and involved in the community for as long as we can have you.

I've seen those on people before. No idea why it's so red, but as far as I know those things aren't dangerous or anything.

While I think the safest route would be to follow vortexofchaos' suggestion, my guess is that offside7 is correct.

I have marks much like that. In my case, they've increased in number as I've gotten older, but are all pretty small.

I've got 3 spots similar to that, though mine are smaller, perhaps more like the shaft of a pin than the head. They've been there as long as I can remember, though I do also remember (disconnected in time) "discovering" them at some point, so probably not forever.
