breakinglight11 Today, I am old.
Had an unexpectedly tough last couple of days, but thanks to Jared and some quiet time, I think I'm dealing with it. Finishing that Romanticism paper was good. Picking the topic alone was hard enough, let alone writing the thing, so I'm glad to have done with that.
Jared and I are going to visit a Zen Buddhist temple this afternoon to do a field report for his Sociology of Religion class. I've never been to one before, so I'm very curious as to what it will be like. I've always wanted to be able to meditate, and I feel like I've been able to get that peaceful a handful of times, but not nearly as often as I'd like, so maybe this will be instructive.
Maybe afterward we'll pick up a cake and bring it to BSCF. Maybe we can get red velvet, my favorite. :-)

And random aside... meditation is interesting, particularly the entire zazen form. Trying to fully blank the mind, dealing with the entire "you can't even think about not thinking" contradiction...
