Date: 2014-09-12 10:03 pm (UTC)Overall, I loved the shift in focus. I love Poussey as a character and find her relationship with Taystee fascinating from a literary standpoint. I <3 Red. I found the character insights into Lorna fascinating in a somewhat grotesque way. I hated Vee from the moment I met her and found her arc terrifyingly fascinating and equally enraging. I found the ending incredibly satisfying, both from a narrative standpoint and from a visceral standpoint. I also enjoyed watching the authority figures tried to sort their shit out.
