Wanted to write something a little naughty, and this idea's been knocking around my head since we wrote Gentlemen Never Tell. We're very, very close to having a finished edit of Gentlemen Never Tell's full production, and so it's been very much on my mind.

Basically, Justin, Rosaline, and Cassius play Never Have I Ever. This scene doesn't really go anywhere, but it has some funny bits and amusing character moments.
Day #23 - Never Have I Ever
From Dream Machine
By Phoebe Roberts
JUSTIN HAWKING, a liberated gentlemen, late thirties
ROSALINE PEMBROKE, of Pembroke's of London, early thirties
The Honorable CASSIUS EVANS, a socialite and old school friend, mid thirties
Venice, 1885

(JUSTIN, ROSALINE, and CASSIUS hang about drinking, smoking, and laughing, little piles of English pence before each of them on the table.)
ROSALINE: Here’s one— I’ve never had to pay for it.
(JUSTIN and CASSIUS groan and each tosses in a penny.)
CASSIUS: Oh, you assassin, you.
JUSTIN: Not fair, it’s all easier when you’re a lady.
ROSALINE: Nothing is easier when you’re a lady.
JUSTIN: And point of order— I’ve never had to. Out of idleness or curiosity only.
ROSALINE: Still counts.
JUSTIN: Very well, if that’s how you want to play. My record is three at a time.
(CASSIUS and ROSALINE both toss in.)
ROSALINE: Blast it, I’ve only had two.
CASSIUS: You absolute alleycats! I’ve never more than one.
JUSTIN: Not even at school?
CASSIUS: Are you mad? How in the world would anyone have gotten away with that?
JUSTIN: Very well, your turn.
CASSIUS: Well, here’s one— I’ve never been with a woman!
JUSTIN: No! Not even once?
CASSIUS: Not even.
JUSTIN: Weren’t you curious?
CASSIUS: Not enough to get into trouble.
JUSTIN: Hm, well, that’s the difference between you and me— curiosity has killed this cat a dozen times over, because satisfaction keeps bringing me back.
CASSIUS: Yes, yes, that’s clear. Now put in your penny before Rosaline takes her next turn—
(ROSALINE throws in a coin just as JUSTIN does. He leans across the table and bangs on it.)
JUSTIN: No!
ROSALINE: Oh, don’t get your garters in twist.
JUSTIN: My garters aren’t the ones I want to hear about!
ROSALINE: Well, you know how it is. You’re not the only curious cat in the alley.
JUSTIN: Tell me everything. Spare no detail.
ROSALINE: None of your business, you boar.
JUSTIN: Fine, then. Only, was it all that you hoped?
ROSALINE: It was all right, I suppose. Honestly I didn’t quite see what all the fuss was about.
CASSIUS: Here, here.
JUSTIN: Oh, listen to you, is there no adventure in your soul?
CASSIUS: Not compared to you and your bacchanals.
JUSTIN: My, my. Who would have thought the Honorable Cash would be such a schoolmarm?
CASSIUS: I’m very happy to have found Martin, and that’s quite enough for me.
JUSTIN: You may lose that last penny yet, you know. Seeing as you’re about to have a wife on your hands.
CASSIUS: Come now, she knows this is strictly business— she can’t possibly be expecting that… can she?
ROSALINE: Probably not for the sport of it. But some people want little people about. Or so I’ve been told.
CASSIUS: Oh. Oh, I see. I… confess I hadn’t thought of that.
ROSALINE: You could always send her off to do it herself. It wouldn’t be the first time. But if you wanted to have a hand in it…
CASSIUS: I suppose I never thought I’d have the chance. I wonder what Martin thinks of it. And then there’s the matter of if I even could.
JUSTIN: An adventurous spirit can make up for timid flesh. Perhaps all you need is a bit of practice.
CASSIUS: I beg your pardon?
JUSTIN: Well. I wouldn’t dream of speaking for the lady, but if Rosaline’s willing… we could help you take back a penny or two.
ROSALINE: I’m game if the Honorable Cash is.
CASSIUS: Both of you, eh?
(CASSIUS looks between them as they smile at him.)
CASSIUS: Tempting… but no. I’m quite happy to become an old married man.
JUSTIN: Bring him. And her, too. Why not? I could my break my record.
ROSALINE: We all could.
(CASSIUS sighs and shakes his head.)
CASSIUS: As I said, I’m not quite the adventurer that either of you are. But… on the chance the matter proves relevant later… perhaps you have some advice you could give.
ROSALINE: Dear boy. You’ve come to the right place.
JUSTIN: And here my father thought I misspent my youth.
