Scarves

I am discovering I have developed a liking for scarves. I've never been particularly interested in them before, but I've been so desperately cold lately I turned to them for purely practical reasons, and I've started to enjoy the look and feel of them. I own a few for random reasons already, which I've been wearing them more and more lately, both for warmth and for how they look. At the moment, I currently own:

• a weird silver-and-purple striped winter one with Bambi on it that was a gift
• a pretty brown knit one from my mom
• the white cotton shawl I wore as a sarong for Bastet in Divus Ex
• the brown and white wispy one that I wore over the Bastet sarong
• the elaborate one that Jared's parents brought me from their cruise
• a long crinkly yellow accent one
• a long crinkly turquoise accent one 

 There's a guy who comes to Brandeis periodically to sell jewelry and winter gear, and I bought a warm but cheesy-looking pair of earmuffs and a beautiful black pashmina shawl with a fringe and a subtle pattern on it. It's so soft and very warm for how delicate it is. It came in so many beautbut iful colors, but I picked black because I could match it with almost anything and it wouldn't look weird. Still, the red was particularly nice but wouldn't have gone with anything, and there was a gorgeous brown one with the subtle pattern in a darker brown, and I've already got one about the same color.

So now I've taken a liking to scarves, and I now have one more thing to try to not blow lots of money on. :-)
