breakinglight11: (Teasing Fool)

Might anyone be interested in taking a size eight teal long-sleeved button-up blouse from Banana Republic off my hands? It's really nice and I like the color so I've been trying to make it work, but it's just too big and it looks weird on me because of it. It's in good condition and free to a good home.

So the Burn Notice game will not be running tomorrow. I heard from Marissa that it turns out she has a conflict she'd forgotten about on Saturday night, and since the plan was for the episode to be Riker-centric, I really don't feel like coming up with a different plotline OR cutting her out of another game. So the group is just going to have dinner together instead, which will be easier on my brain and we'll still get to enjoy each other's company. I'm not sure when the next session will be, given that I'm going out of town next weekend, but maybe we'll be able to get together on a weeknight sometime, since we'll all be in Waltham for the month of July.

Made some small progress on line memorization; I got through one and a half scenes yesterday. If I can keep that rate up, I should definitely be off-book by the deadline. I have the next three days off, so I'd better use them. Tomorrow I'm going to a much-anticipated Fourth of July party, and I want to make some dish or other to bring. Maybe a nice side dish I can make easily in large quantities.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] captainecchi recently approached me with a really cool idea. I'm not going to say anything about it yet before I've got anything substantial, but look for it soon...

breakinglight11: (Puck 4)
The next week and a half promises to be jam-packed with gaming for me. It will be of both the tabletop and larp varieties, and I will be participating in the capacities of both player and GM.

This Friday night, Joe will will be running a prewritten Call of Cthlulhu game set in World War I. I've played in his Lovecraft games before and really enjoyed them, and he says this is a particularly fun mod, so I expect it to be good. My only concern is that we won't be able to get started until late, and I have a tough time staying up past midnight these days, even on the weekends.

Saturday will be the off-day. With much of the desired player pool depleted by Rage Across the Cape, no other games will be scheduled for this day. I don't mind, it's probably good to have a break in there somewhere, and I want to have nothing conflicting with the birthday party I am looking forward to attending in the evening.

Either Sunday afternoon or Monday evening will have my Burn Notice game. I really want to finish the adventure they're currently on, and I am certain it can be done by the end of this session. We haven't played since January; after the last session my play started up, like, immediately and there was never any time. Over the next few days I must buckle down and plan the thing. I know the gist of it, where I'd like it to go and all, but it's been long enough since we played that I must rethink some things, and just try to prepare for the eventualities. I am excited for the conclusion of this job; the climax of I expect shall be well-received. I like to think it's quite a kicker. :-)

Monday or Tuesday night will be a mod designed to test some of the rules devised by Bernie and Joe with the intention of being used in larp projects. I am not certain I'm the best person to be involved in such a playtest, but I have been told my aversion to rules, particularly complicated ones, will give me a perspective useful in determining what will be too unweildy and byzantine for larpers who think like me.

Wow. That's a lot of tabletopping, especially for me. And then, with Thursday comes the day we prepare for The Labor Wars the following weekend. We have cooking to get started with, and of course stuffing the game. And then Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shall be spent watching things unfold. I can't say enough how very, very excited I am. It occurs to me that we GMs once discussed assuming the roles of house servants to add to the verisimilitude during the run; I should ask if we're actually doing that, and figure out some appropriate costuming.

Ah, so much to do. I am at once daunted by the work and anticipating the fun. Yay!
breakinglight11: (Ranting Fool)

Have been very busy and yet annoyingly unable to focus very well for the past several days. I've still got a lot of work to do in preparation for Festival. Printing and packing hasn't gone nearly as quickly as I'd hoped it would, so I'm a bit behind on my self-imposed scheduel. I've read most of the materials for LXHS, but not everything, so I'll have to get on that.

After polling and gathering opinions, I've decided to go with Larpercalia for next year's Festival nickname. It amuses me and we can always put an explanation on the website. After all, "Festival" is the most important name and the one that people mostly use when talking about it and advertising it; the nickname's just for fun anyway.

This past weekend I held the cast party for To Think of Nothing. I ended up cooking basically a full dinner for it, which turned out to be a good choice as everyone in attendance was pleased and impressed by it. With my three lovely helpers (so nice to have helpers!) [livejournal.com profile] nennivian, [livejournal.com profile] katiescarlett29, and [livejournal.com profile] crearespero, we put together guacamole, chicken braised with cider and apples, garlic bread bruscetta, and the complicated wild rice dish. The extra hands made it easy, and the company was very much appreciated.

I have started reading Penny Arcade. I don't always find it funny, but they do a lot of really sharp commentary and certain strips are hilarious. I decided to check it out on a whim the other day because so many people I know read it. Right now the only web comics I follow are Something Positive (have since high school), Penny and Aggie, Girls With Slingshots, and of course Order of the Stick. I'm not sure if I enjoy PA enough to put in my regular rotation, but I'm glad to have finally absorbed it.

Tonight I am performing in Kindness's post-bac art show. I will have to get in contact with him to find out when he wants me to come over and make sure we're set with our plan. If you're available from 5-7PM, come to the Dreitzer Gallery in Spingold to see the work.

breakinglight11: (Mad Fool)

Today shall be very fun. I'm going to meet Steph and Charlotte for costuming for Festival later. They're going to show me what they've come up with already, and I think we'll be hitting the thrift store after in case we need to look for anything else. They're working for LXHS and Oz, while I got my Diamond Geezers sheet! I believe I got the "tough cast" character, which always makes me smile-- it's nice to be trusted to step up into a character the GM is not sure about. I actually really like the character am really looking forward to playing her. She blows stuff up!

Costuming came to me immediately. I have an army background and I'm a demolitions professional, so I plan on wearing my olive-drab cargo pants, a black tank or maybe sports bra, and my stompy hiking boots. For some reason I see my hair put up in outrageous pigtails made to stand as straight out as I can possibly manage. And I'm going to wear that sun-deflecting paint that football players wear and draw tattoos all over myself with Sharpie.

After that, I will be dragging them back to my place to be my kitchen helpers. Tonight is the long-awaited cast party for To Think of Nothing, and we will be cooking a number of lovely dishes for it. I plan on setting up a buffet-style selection of goodies, significantly more substantial than your chips and pretzel snacks. I started off the process by cooking for my lovely actors, so it seems fitting to finish it off by feeding them as well.

breakinglight11: (Easy Fool)
Jared and I went out for our anniversary dinner Friday night. We dressed up handsomely and went to Solea, the fantastic tapas restaurant on Moody Street. It was one of the nicest evenings out I've had in a long time. And I made sure to wear my lovely new earrings. He did not wear his new shirt from Express that was my gift to him, because while it looks quite good on him, the collar is a bit too loose to wear with a tie, so he'd like to try a smaller size. Ah, well, I gave it a shot.

Yesterday we went to a very fun production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in the lovely company of Steph, Caitlin, and Plesser. The show had a strange urban jungle feel, which was interesting if not necessarily what I would pick, and Jared's Stage Combat teacher, actor-professor Robert Walsh, played a hilarious Bottom. We actually first encountered him at another Actor's Shakespeare Project show, when he played the title role in Titus Andronicus. Very talented actor; Jared and I enjoyed him very much. It's always fun to see another production of a show you were in with others who were in it with you. It was a really good time.

In the evening Jared and I then went to the birthday party [livejournal.com profile] in_water_writ threw for [livejournal.com profile] 1takejohnny. It was a fun party, full of nice new people, but I'd promised I'd pick Bernie up at the airport that evening. Jared was having a good time, so he elected to stay and took the commuter rail home. I'm sorry I couldn't have stayed, but it was good to have Bernie back.

All in all, Friday and Saturday were excellent days, spent in the company of good friends and my dear love.
breakinglight11: (Stiff Fool)

I was winding up for a really grouchy entry here, but I've been reading back entries of [livejournal.com profile] oakenguy's LiveJournal and he is so funny and interesting and awesome that my mood is greatly lifted. Thanks for being wonderful, Brian. :-)

This weekend was over before I even realized it began. Lots of rough stuff going on for Jared, and he needed a lot of help from me to get through it. I'm glad to help, and I think everything is handled and okay now, but I'm kinda burnt out. Also, I ended up having to see a lot more of Sara than I'd hoped I would. Honestly it wasn't that bad, she was fairly pleasant and I put forth my very best effort, but I had things I would have rather been doing with my time than have brunch with her and drive her places because she put zero planning into this trip. Honestly the only thing that really bugged me was the expectation of how much Jared would be available. No, Jared TOLD YOU he was not available to entertain because IT IS FINALS WEEK and he HAS FINALS. *Sigh* She ended up offering to make us dinner as thanks for our help, which was very nice of her, but necessitated I spend more time around her, and I couldn't refuse without looking like a jerk. Again, the evening was pleasant enough, but I don't want to spend that much time around a person whose primary effect on my life has been to make my boyfriend feel bad about himself. At least I got to take a break from it all and go with Steph to the Natick Mall, which turned out to be a lot of fun and a nice respite from my roles as "support system" and "ex wrangler." I may have to have dinner with Sara again tonight, but hey, it'll be a meal I don't have to pay for, and I can at least enjoy Jared's company and the fact that three years is a sufficient period of time to pass that I can exhibit normal girlfriend behaviors in front of his ex without hurting her feelings. (For those of you who react to this length of time with outrage, the last time I was actually in Sara's presence was over two years ago.)

Also, went to a lovely surprise birthday party for Frances the other day that was incredibly nice. Every time I talk to her I'm reminded of how I need to spend more time with her. It was just a lovely, nice, low-key evening with good friends, which I needed, and Jared too. Nearly the entire cast of To Think of Nothing was present, and it really warms my heart to see the evidence of how enthusiastic they are about this show. I'm so excited to get to work on it.

Focuson the positive, Phoebe. Like the show, and being with Jared, and the sheer unadulterated awesome that is [livejournal.com profile] oakenguy. That'll keep me from being the constant grouch I'm threatening to turn into.

breakinglight11: (Cavalier Fool)

Halloween yesterday was wonderful, surrounded by friends in excellent costumes. Best evening I've had in a long time. Perhaps the most notable part of the evening were the five members of Team Fortress 2 that got together a fantastic group costume that yielded some great pictures. It was actually initially Jared's idea a month or so ago; he's recently gotten very into the game and thought it would be a fun and funny idea for a big group to do together. Several people expressed interest, but I think Jared and Bernie kind of didn't think anybody else would actually do it, so kind of felt like it couldn't happen. It took Matt actually getting together costume pieces to get things going; when I saw he was into it I started getting after Bernie and Jared, who got back into it when they thought there would be a real group. Jared was the Sniper, Bernie was the Engineer, and Matt was the Scout, all of which were remarkably well-cast in my opinion. Ryan and Kindness were pulled in at the last minute as the Spy and the Medic respectively, which worked out pretty well too! We took some fantastic pictures, which will soon be on Facebook. In the meantime, here's a sampling:

Masquerade

The Hold Thy Peace masquerade ball occurred Saturday night after all the extensive planning, and I have to say, what a fantastic idea it was and what a lovely evening it made. We had the Castle Commons with a neat light show and sound equipment set up, and lots of friends in formalwear and masks showed up for dancing and a good time. I organized the food, and though most of it was consumed in the first two hours, I think people were pleased. I wore my backless Fidd dress (as I have been calling it ever since Nexus) and had [livejournal.com profile] blendedchaitea  paint a neat design of vines and flowers on my back. She is very talented and it came out lovely-- so very grateful for the help! I originally wanted [livejournal.com profile] morethings5  to do it, but we had a communications breakdown and never got it together. Ah, well, maybe some other time, dear. I looked very lovely, danced the night away with Jared, and had him take a picture of myself in costume-- from the back, of course. :-) It may show up as a profile picture. Or, heck, a LiveJournal icon. Have to give credit to [livejournal.com profile] linearequation  and Steph; what an excellent idea it was, and we made nearly two hundred dollars for the club in ticket sales.
breakinglight11: (Puck 4)

Saturday I threw a "meet the new roommate" dinner at Elsinore. We now have our last roommate Miriam, while Bernie just got a new roommate RJ, so we thought we'd invite them to dinner and make nice. We did it potluck, which was easier on the ol' pocketbook, but tougher on my "I want to control every aspect of the menu so it's up to my quality standards" instinct. It came out pretty tasty anyway, with grilled steaks, brussel sprouts, bread, and other good things. And I didn't have to spend the whole day cooking. I also know Jared has been itching to do social things with all the friends he hasn't seen in three months, so I'm glad he had a good time. After dinner we ate cheesecake and watched Clue-- an excellent thing for me, since I can study it for ideas on how to write my next game. The murder mechanic may be assisted by figuring out how it occurred int he film and trying to simulate that somehow. We're still figuring it out.

Sunday I piled Jared, Bernie, and Emma into my car and drove to Lunenburg to attend an excellent board gaming party thrown by Matt and Lise. I really don't get to see them enough, so I was very excited for this get-together. I only played one game but I liked being with people even more. I had a very nice time talking to Vicky, with whom I clearly don't seem to do that enough. And Lise and Matt served delicious beef shish kebobs; I think I must get the recipe. Unfortunately Jared and I couldn't stay for more than a few hours, because he had promised to help out Hold Thy Peace at the Activities Fair.

Again, I am extremely proud of HTP's new e-board. They were right there giving their all for the entire Fair, and they roped in quite a few names on the mailing list as well as the audition sheet for Romeo and Juliet. I signed up, though I haven't decided what piece to audition with. Or what to say on my casting questionnaire-- if anything in particular. It makes me glad to see so many people going out; it increases the chances of getting real talent, and means we won't be so pressed for just the simple number of necessary actors.

So, after all that, I am tired. I think I am going to spend the evening tonight at home recharging. I need some unscheduled time for a little while. Too long without it and I start losing equilibrium

breakinglight11: (Exiting Fool)

Macbeth cast party last night. It was a lot of fun; there was swimming and really good food and the cast members were fun. And yes, I did look good in my bikini, and gratifyingly it did not go unnoticed (including by the looker playing Banquo, heh heh.) I am extremely sorry I missed the party thrown by [info]laurion however; from what I heard it was a really good time, but I felt like I shouldn't snub the people in the play. I might audition for this group again sometime, who knows. Chad, have another party sometime, and I promise I'll come. :-)

Closing night tonight. I'm excited for the barbecue beforehand. I have agreed to make my mother's fantastic potato salad for it. It's the potato salad for people like myself who don't like potato salad, many kinds of vegetables only very lightly dressed with mayo and sour cream. A healthier and in my opinion tastier version of the traditional "just potatoes and a gallon of mayonnaise" kind.

breakinglight11: (Joker Phoebe 2)

The rage, she is dealt with. I am myself again. :-)

I have had a lovely, action-packed weekend. Fourth of July was spent at the excellent gathering of [info]captainecchi and [info]electric_d_monk. A combination of good company, good food, and lovely hosts made for a wonderful time for me. Many thanks to them. I went with [info]lightgamer and [info]morethings5, who could not have been more fun to be with. It's funny, everytime I go to a party I think, "I love parties! I should throw more of them." So I have gatherings, and they're fun and I'm glad I did them, but they're kind of expensive and labor-intensive, so I say, "Okay, no more hosting for a while." Then I go to another good party and think "I love parties! I should throw more of them." :-) The next day was spent hanging out with Marissa, then an impromptu cookout with her, Kindness, Matt, and the Daves, and later Kindness showed a strange Swedish movie about twelve-year-old vampires. It was interesting and cool; I love weird stuff.

Had my first rehearsal for Macbeth last night. It was nice, we read through the script and met each other. Everyone seemed really nice and talented, and I think I'm going to enjoy working with them. I'm the only one who was cross-cast out of everyone, which I find interesting. I have another rehearsal Thursday night, which makes me sad because if there's BSCF I'll miss it, but whatever.

I should really throw a party... :-)

breakinglight11: (Puck)

Well, this has been a full weekend of parties so far. Attended the Midsummer cast party on Friday night, and had a much better time than I expected to, and then had to put together the general Hold Thy Peace party that was to be held in honor of the day Shakespeare is believed to have both been born and died on. We held it at Elsinore, appropriately enough, and I was quite pleased to see that it went very well. Unfortunately the Hamlet DVD had some issues-- the audio track was extremely out of sync with the picture --so I was disappointed that it could not be shown, but even so people seemed to have a nice time. So nice a time, in fact, that a number of guests ended up staying way past the time the party was supposed to end. I'm glad they were enjoying themselves enough to want to keep sticking around, but I kind of wanted a little bit of not-the-host-anymore time between the end of the party and eight o'clock, when Jared and I were going to the BORG play.

I liked the BORG play, it was "The Adventure of the Speckled Band" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, a nice change from the typical children's plays they normally do, so props to Ryan and the rest of the cast. I'm also a big Sherlock Holmes fan, I've read every one of his stories, and the one in particular from which this play was adapted has the distinction of being the only one I managed to solve myself during the course of my reading it. (If it makes any difference, I was less than fifteen when I first got in to them, so perhaps I was no quite as sharp or observant as I might have been if I'd first read them when I was older.)

Today will be for work and low-keyness. Though I wouldn't mind being with people in a casual way today, I don't think I up for any extensive social demands, and I certainly don't want to play hostess again for a little while. Just hanging out a bit would be okay.

breakinglight11: (Cavalier Fool)

Thanks to the lovely Marissa, I now at long last have a DVD of Hamlet in my possession. I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know how well it came out or how much editing it may require, but I do in fact have it. I'd like to be able to have it to show at the Hold Thy Peace party that is happening this Saturday at Elsinore, so hopefully today and tomorrow I'll have a chance to go over it, maybe fix it up if it needs it. I'm so excited; I was so incredibly proud of this play, and it meant a lot to me to have a copy of the performance. Here's hoping it comes out well. I owe lots of people copies, so I'd better get on that as well.

In addition to preparing the disk, I have to get things ready for the party itself. Jared and I will be shopping for snackies (if anyone has points they want to get rid of before they lose them at the end of the year, you're more than welcome to contribute) and I should probably clean. I'm not certain how many people will be coming, but I hope we get a good turnout. If only to have a larger audience for the showing of the DVD. ;-)

breakinglight11: (portrait 2)

My goodness, this was quite a busy weekend for me. I spent most of Friday doing chores, cleaning and running errands. In the evening Jared and I attended the birthday party of the lovely [info]rigel, which was one of the most pleasant social gatherings I've been at in quite some time. I had some really nice conversations, particularly those with [info]natbudin and [info]usernamenumber, people whose company I always enjoy but just haven't seemed to have a chance to chat with in a while. Jared and I hada really nice time, thanks to all the good company we hung out with. So, happy birthday to Rigel, and thanks to her for throwing a really great party.

Saturday was spent doing homework, and planning a dinner for the evening. I made chicken marbella, which is an elegant chicken dish that must marinate overnight in the fridge in a mixture of prunes, Spanish olives, garlic, redwine vinegar, olive oil, and capers, then is baked in white wine and brown sugar. I was very pleased with how it came out. I also mde a complicated, kind of sophisticated rice dish of wild rice, mint, orange, scallion, pecan, and sunshine raisins. I don't really eat rice so I've never cooked it before, and I overdid it so that it was mushier than it was supposed to be, but the flavor combination was still nice. At night we went out to Rocky Horror in Cambridge. I gotta say, I was kind of disappointed. It wasn't a fantastic show, even though it had the highest production values of any Rocky I'd ever been to, and the techies were obtrusive and obnoxious. We didn't get back till extremely late, and we ended up getting up extremely late the next today, which I wasn't terribly pleased about.

Today we spent doing homework. I finished the assignment I needed to for tomorrow, and now may relax a little. We're going to go to campus for dinner, and then Jared has some more stuff to try and get through. I believe I will take a shower and make a plan for handling things for the rest of the week. I've got a pretty decent amount of work to get through, and making a schedule helps me a lot.

My poet

breakinglight11: (Default)
Jared wrote me a poem. There are no words for how happy this makes me. I love you, babe.

This week will mostly be spent preparing for his visit. I am scrubbing the house from top to bottom, organizing/putting away/trashing the unwanted items of junk, and planning lots and lots of good things to cook for him. I'll need to make a to do list, and a shopping list, and get on that this week.

Had a wonderful time at [personal profile] bleemoo's birthday party. Made me realize how much I miss him and the rest of the group. Sheena, Mac, and I want to have BSCF at our house now. Keep the same time, 7PM on Thursday, only have people come to our place, because Brandeis and the immediate area seems to be a good convergence point for everyone. We're a little light on seating, but that will improve shortly, and if people could just either bring a folding chair with them or something or be prepared to roll with things if we run out, we should be okay. If people would be willing, we could even do it as early as this coming Thursday. I'd really really like that.

By the way, I think I'd like to shoot for next Wednesday-- June 25th --for the first session of my "Woodsmen" Vampire game to happen. Sheena, Matt, Lise, Toby, David, Bernie, does that work for you guys? Let me know, and send me your character sheets before then. We'll pick an appropriate time.

Four more days until my poet comes.
breakinglight11: (Default)
Didn't get a chance to post at all this weekend, since we do not yet have web access at Elsinore. The guy should be coming on Wednesday. But despite the distressing lack of the Intertubes, I managed to keep myself busy and entertained. I'm so glad I brought my Wii up. As a house we've been playing Mario Galaxy and endless rounds of Smash Brothers that have lead to random conversations and gales of laughter. Very fun. I also didn't have to get up super-early to go to the gym before work like I do on weekends, so I could sleep in and make my leisurely way over there on my own time. The gym is closed on Sundays, and it's really too hot to work out outside lately, so it kind of enforces a rest on me. I suppose that's a good thing, they say you're supposed to take one day off a week to rest, and if left to my own devices, I probably wouldn't. So this is a good imposed health measure on me and lets my muscles rest. In general, I find I am fit enough to work out every day without feeling sore or worn out, but my back does tend to get a little achy. So again, it's probably good for me to have no choice but to rest.

Sunday was a fantastic day. Sheena, Dave, David, Bernie, and myself met up in the early afternoon to go to Sheena's family's house in Brookline to swim and have a cookout. We went to a kosher market to pick up hamburgers, hotdogs, and little things called "minute steaks" for barbecuing. That was interesting because I'd never seen a place like that before, and saw lots of stuff I'd never heard of. Like kosher short ribs, for example. At home we've made both beef and pork ribs, but the beef ones were always pretty enormous. These were tiny like the pork kind. Anyway, we then we went to the lovely Sheena house, which has both a beautiful pool and a gorgeous kitchen. Bernie manned the grill most of the time, though Sheena took his turn as well. They did great work, everything was very tasty. It's a man thing, I think, to be in charge of the barbecue. No matter, I approve.

The swimming was fun as well. Sheena and the Daves were the bravest of us, getting into the slightly-too-cold pool first even though there haven't really been enough really hot days for it to be like the bath water I want it to be. But even I made my wussy self go in, and with enough nagging so did Bernie. We played around with a beach ball, and the ever-so-fun game of "let's see who can make Phoebe scream the loudest by splashing her with cold, cold, COLD water." Bitches. At least I got my obligatory piggyback ride. Every time I'm in a pool, I want somebody to give me a water piggyback ride, and roped Bernie into the job. I like piggyback rides in general, but it's especially fun in a pool because the water makes me so light that they can carry me around forever without getting tired.

Sheena's family was there as well, his sister, her husband, their little son, a family of their friends plus a little baby girl, and Sheena's mom and dad. They were all very pleasant company as well, very kind and welcoming to us, though I think I swore a little bit too much when I wasn't thinking about it. That never makes a good impression. At least it was never in direct conversation, and in my defense I was very frequently being splashed with cold water. *glares in direction of a certain somebody whose name starts with a D and ends with an "-avid."* Anyway, all in all it was a really fun outing. We're going to do it again when Mac gets up here. Mac, get here already! We miss you and want you with us at Elsinore!

Now I'm back at work. Amusingly, today my boss Myrna asked if Bernie was my boyfriend, presumably because he usually walks me to work. Heh. If that's how she thinks one says goodbye to one's boyfriend, if only she could see how Jared and I actually are when we part-- usually with stomach-turning, probably skirting-the-edge-of-appropriateness PDA and puke-inducing "I love you"s. :-D

We'll have to remind you all just how disgusting we can be when he comes to visit. Ten more days until then.
breakinglight11: (Default)
Made an arrangement to get picked up to go to the airport, and it's quite early in the morning, so I've decided it might be best not to go out and party on Friday night, especially if I have to rely on other people for transportation. Thanks for the offers, but it's probably best I don't sleep through my flight. :-)

Jared and I are having dinner with the Daves at 7PM, but we should be at BSCF around 8. Can't wait to see everyone.
breakinglight11: (Default)
I've decided if I do go to a party on Friday, which I think I'd like to, I think I'll be going early and staying just for a little while, so it's not too painful to get up in the morning. I'm flying home for Passover break on Saturday. Which reminds me, I have to get my information in order and arrange for a ride to the airport. Should probably get that done sooner rather than later.

I've done some calculating and if my rough estimates are correct, I believe the CS office assistant job will be able to both cover my expenses and match the amount I was putting away into savings each month last summer. I am extremely pleased. That had concerned me, since it's a lot easier to save when you don't have to pay for rent and things like that, but looks like it'll work out anyway.

Internship meeting tonight. Not quite ready for it, but I should have some time in the afternoon. It was bumped up an hour, so I shall be done at 7PM tonight rather than 8.
breakinglight11: (Default)
Today is the Ides of March. Have you betrayed your military dictator today?

I have a blissfully free day today, and am so unused to this idea that I have no idea what to do with it. I had a couple of ideas about going places, but since my car isn't back yet that makes things a little too complicated for me. Maybe get a bit of reading done for things, and there's a party at night that Jared and I are going to, but that's it and that's not till quite late. I should probably try and do some writing on my new larp ideas. See where I can get and maybe figure out if I can give one enough form and direction that I can bid it for Intercon.

Otherwise, if anyone has any ideas, don't hesitate to get a hold of me.

It occurs to me that  I've gone to a party every weekend since I got back to school.

Aren't I just the social dynamo. ;-) How strange.
